About Chris

Chris Betcher is a passionate Australian educational technologist committed to assisting teachers and students use digital technology in engaging, creative and meaningful ways. He has taught in both Australia and Canada, and regularly presents at events across Australia and internationally. He blogs at www.chrisbetcher.com.

Chris is a Google for Education Certified Innovator and Google for Education Certified Trainer, and was recently appointed to the Google International Professional Development Advisory Board. He is also a regular co-host of the Google Educast, a podcast about all things Google in education. Chris has a curious mind, asks way too many questions, and likes making things out of zeroes and ones.

He is proudly part of EdTechTeam, a global team of educators bringing you events such as the Summits featuring Google in Education. He presents at EdTechTeam events around the world, and particularly within the Asia Pacific region. Until recently Chris was the technology integrator at PLC Sydney, one of Australia premier independent girls schools. He is now EdTechTeam's Director of Professional Learning for Australian and New Zealand.
