Designing Google Sites: Part 1

Google Sites is an easy, yet surprisingly powerful, tool for building sophisticated websites.

They are ideal for class websites, group projects, student eportfolios, and much more. They are functional, but they can also look fairly boring if you just go with the standard design themes.

With a bit of thought, Google Sites can be structured and designed to look far more like a "real website". In this session we will build a site from scratch, develop a customised look and feel using custom graphics, design and create an easy to use menu structure, then create a few pages in preparation of adding a range of digital resources on each page. (we do this in Part 2)

By the end of the session you will have a working knowledge of what Sites can do and an understanding of how you can customise them for a variety of uses.
